“And the winner is…”
I’ve always been a huge fan of watching awards shows. I love the glitz and the glamour, the pomp and circumstance, the celebrities galore. I watch the red carpet interviews and stay focused on my TV until the very last award is handed out. I also love hosting viewing parties.
So when my favorite chocolate company contacted me about throwing a Golden Globes party, I couldn’t contain my excitement. I rounded up some of my closest pals, prepared my go-to party foods, decorated with gold and black, and we celebrated with the most chocolate I’ve ever had on hand at any given time. I was in heaven.
This year was the first year that Lindt Chocolate takes the title of Official Confection of the Golden Globes. I absolutely love Lindt – even as a child, I considered it as my favorite chocolate brand (I was exposed to premium chocolate early on, thanks to my parents). And I’ve been working with Lindt for a few years now, developing recipes, doing giveaways, and hosting at-home events. I was so happy to throw a little soiree for me and my friends, and my friend Val generously agreed to host it at her place – since my teeny tiny apartment can only fit maybe 4 people, max.
We put together a chocolate bar and a centerpiece featuring different kinds of Lindt Chocolates, put out bowls of pralines, LINDOR truffles, and HELLO bites, and my friends and I proceeded to have a very memorable Golden Globes night.
(By the way, these are the latest addition to my list of very favorite Lindt products, the HELLO strawberry cheesecake bars. Others on the list are: A Touch of Sea Salt EXCELLENCE bar, milk chocolate LINDOR truffles, and the Intense Orange EXCELLENCE bar)
For food, I made some easy finger food and appetizers, like this avocado and crab crostini:

Plus a killer cheese board, meatballs, and mac and cheese.
All throughout the night, we were drinking these signature cocktails: the Rose Gold, made with champagne, St-Germain, and Chambord (raspberry liqueur)

My friends and I had a lot of fun playing this Ultimate Awards Show BINGO:

We used LINDOR truffles as markers, and ate many markers in the process. And we all had fun tracking our own nominees, thanks to the voting ballots from Lindt (see the very top photo in this post). The games made the night really interactive, and even the guys got really competitive!
I had such a great time with my friends watching the Golden Globes and the chocolates totally made our night. Thank you to Lindt for sending us a very generous amount of treats, including boxes of the official Golden Globes chocolates – the same ones that the celebrities received! I may not have won an award, but I felt like I certainly won that night.
Do you also like watching awards shows? Which movie are you rooting for to win all the awards? I liked The Martian and Trainwreck.

This is the most perfect party for you!! Everything looks delicious and beautiful… I can’t wait to get my hands on all the new chocolates :)
Thank you! The HELLO bars and bites are addicting, be warned ;)
Um, can I watch the Oscar’s with you?? You throw a mean party. ;-)
Looks like you had such a great time! Nothing like a party centered around chocolate.
In terms of movies, I’ve only seen the Martian (which I really liked!) but I hope to see a few more before the Oscars.
Thanks, friend! I’m going to squeeze in a few movies before the Oscars, too. Hope you are doing well! xo
How so fun! I would have loved to throw OR attend one of these parties – mostly because the combo of an award show + chocolate is the BEST!
i’m not usually prone to jealousy, but man, i would’ve loved to be present at something like this! what a treat!
How fun is this!! I love the black and gold decor and with all that Lindt? Come on, it’s a party I’d literally crash. ; )
As you know, I am obsessed with awards shows and hosting viewing parties. So many fun ideas here! You are a very lucky girl to be treated to so much Lindt!
Hey! What a small world! My sister was out there at that party (Pizzazzerie), and then she just came up here to visit us. And she might have brought us a whole bunch of Lindt chocolate. And we might have just made smores the other night with some of it. Amazing! She told us all about the Golden Globes, and well I’m kinda jealous. Glad you got a chance to go over and enjoy the festivities! :-)
Yes, what a small world! Your sister’s cocktail recipes were insanely good :)
I love lindt chocolate. what a fun collaboration!
Wow! That is one AMAZING party! Lindt chocolate is the best – I would be in chocolate heaven!
Hehe I love the Bingo game!! I must try that one year :D Did you do your own printouts?
Hi Lorraine! Lindt actually sent us the printouts, but you can print your own at Sugar and Cloth: http://sugarandcloth.com/2016/01/diy-truffle-bingo-printable/
I am not into awards shows at all, but I would have come to your party, just to play bingo ;)
What a beautifully styled and delicious party!
