Dish of the Week | Lamb Chops from Zo Assembly Row

These might be my favorite lamb dish ever. These lamb chops from Zo are perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and so good that my husband and I once finished a platter and then ordered another one. Chargrilled, seasoned with garlic, oregano, and Greek sea salt, these chops are tender, with just the right amount of fat to give it an unctuous bite, and bursting with clean, meaty flavor.

I ordered this with a salad and fries, and while the fries are mouth-wateringly crisp, the lamb is obviously the star here. It’s available from the bar menu at Zo in Assembly Row, a cute and unassuming Greek restaurant that has a quick-service, to-go counter on one side, and a full-service, sit-down section on the other side. Zo started as a food truck and has now expanded to a couple of restaurant locations. The Assembly Row location has a full-service bar. I’m also a big fan of the tatziki and fried halloumi cheese.

And if you like meat, they also have platters that include these juicy lamb chops. Go get ’em.
