New England Burger at Del Frisco’s Grille
Two juicy beef patties, an egg, and sweet lobster – that’s the new New England Burger at Del Frisco’s Grille in Chestnut Hill.
It’s an indulgent weekend brunch or weeknight dinner, almost like a portable version of surf and turf, but with the added luxury of a fried egg.
I went to Del Frisco’s Grille on two separate occasions recently, first to try their brunch, and second for Burger Month (which is the whole month of May). I usually associate Del Frisco’s with steak, and it was a real treat to try other items on the menu. The New England Burger was my favorite, but the others we tried were delicious, too.
Starting with the drinks:
White sangria and their signature VIP cocktail (a mix of Hawaiian pineapple-infused Svedka and clementine vodka). The VIP cocktail went down dangerously easy – like juice…
And appetizers:
Crab cake (look at all that crab meat!) and mini tuna tacos (and you know me and my love for adorable food)
Brunch items:
I got the banana and mascarpone-stuffed French toast, and my friend got the chicken and waffles. We were very happy that both came with crisp bacon slices.
And finally, dinner:
Kale and brussels sprouts salad with salmon, prime beef short rib stroganoff with pappardelle noodles and piles of crispy onion strings, and this mouth-watering burger. The New England burger also has tarragon aioli and Machego cheese in between buttery bread, but I was already sold on the burger, egg, and lobster combo.
I love burgers (especially the ones here and here) and I thought Del Frisco’s was a solid hit. Do you have a favorite burger?
(Disclosure: Del Frisco’s Grille generously comped both of my visits.)
PS – on another note, I am so excited that Buzzfeed featured my recipe for Filipino Pork Adobo!!
