Never been this happy to get a shot 💉 #ᴠᴀᴄᴄɪɴᴇssᴀᴠᴇʟɪᴠᴇs
I never craved for cinnamon rolls until I tried th I never craved for cinnamon rolls until I tried this one from @cafebeatricecx - with a laminated dough and a classic frosting. So perfect with an iced matcha latte.

I hope you are all taking the time to take care of yourselves, too 🍵
This weekend @mattnagy and I went out for a walk, This weekend @mattnagy and I went out for a walk, ordered from our favorite local restaurants (@ebisushisomerville) and caught up on our favorite shows. It all seems normal and yet none of it was.

What wasn’t normal was my fear as soon as we stepped out of our home.
The worry that hit me when I saw two Asian grandmas walking by themselves.
News channels showing that murderers and attackers get more compassion than the actual victims.
My relief that my immediate family actually lives in another country right now.
Friends volunteering to run errands with me and be my bodyguards (to those who have reached out, thank you. I will never forget your kindness.)
Memories of racist microaggressions and taunts that I have endured for almost two decades of living in America: “go back to China!” “Chink” “You people eat dogs right?”
Me and my other AAPI friends wondering if wearing sunglasses and a mask might help but realizing that the color of our skin will still make us a target.
Our hearts breaking every time we hear about another one of us being beaten, pushed to the ground, spat on, slashed across the face, murdered.

None of this is normal, and it shouldn’t be. White supremacy has been normalized, but now is the time to stop it.

If you’ve committed to being anti-racist and an ally to BIPOC, ask yourself what you’ve really done lately.

To my AAPI brothers and sisters, stay strong.

As @danieldaekim said, “We are 23 million strong. We are united, and we are waking up.”

Racism of any kind should never be tolerated. To f Racism of any kind should never be tolerated. To first go after our most revered elders, and then to spread the hate to other Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders just BECAUSE OF HOW WE LOOK is so horrific and inhuman. Let us not be silent about these crimes.

How can you help?
1. If you can, donate to orgs like @stopaapihate and @aacommission (and other Asian American coalitions in your communities).
2. Support Asian businesses.
3. Check in on your friends. We may be going about our day to days, but we are not okay.
4. If you see something, say something.
5. Check your own biases.

To my AAPI brothers and sisters, you have my love.

In solidarity,
Bianca

Happy Valentine’s Day 💗 I’m eating all the chocolate I can get my hands on, starting with these solid chocolate hearts from @ehchocolatier, one of my favorite artisan chocolate makers. They’re local but ship everywhere in the US.

And it doesn’t have to be a holiday to eat some chocolate but it’s a nice excuse anyway 🍫
