Time to Get Serious: Why This Blog Exists

It’s no secret that I love dessert. I love chocolate, ice cream, cookies. And I don’t just love dessert. I love pasta too.  And cheese. And pork.

But I also love veggies. And green monster smoothies. And running. And bikram yoga. Oh, how I love bikram.

If you’re a long-time reader, you’ll notice how my blog has slowly evolved into a food blog – not just a personal diary (that was a little all over the place, to be honest). And you’ll probably pick up on the fact that I always try to find a balance between indulging my sweet tooth (among other things) and living a healthy life, which is extremely important to me.  On top of that, I am still trying to lose weight!

I’ve written about this in The Food Lovers/Dieter’s Dilemma: How do you keep eating all the rich foods you love while trying to lose weight?

Well, it’s time to get serious. Over the next few weeks, you’ll see some changes on the blog. This is a food blog, first and foremost, but I’ll also be writing about healthy living/weight loss. I’ll also be writing in a more journalistic manner (full disclosure: I am taking a digital journalism class at Harvard this summer). I’ll try to post more often, too (I promise!). I’m going to play around with the blog design, format, and content, and see how it goes from here. At the end of the day, I want to be a good source of information about both culinary adventures and healthy living.

So come join me in my journey as I strive to be fit and strong – while still enjoying the food, glorious food, that makes life SWEET. As always, comments are welcome!
